 Terms & Conditions

The following rental terms and conditions are those that guests agree to at the time of booking. OwnersAway both manage properties and act as agents for private landlords and individuals who own property here on the Costa Calida. When you book a property, you are entering into a contract with the owner of the property, not our company. We check details of all properties we advertise, but cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of any photographs nor the owner´s description.

If the property you book is managed by OwnersAway, we will deal with your booking from start to finish, including aiming to resolve any problems that arise during your stay.

If the property is managed directly by the owner here in Spain, then the owner will be your first point of contact for any issues that arise.

 

1) Deposit.

At the time of booking you will be asked to pay an initial deposit of 25% of the cost of the accommodation. If you want to book any extra services, such as baby equipment, welcome packs, additional cleans or Toy/DVD packs, these must be paid for at the time of booking or with the final balance of the holiday.

2) Balance

The balance of the cost must be paid at least 6 weeks before the date that the holiday commences. Failure to pay the balance of the holiday on time will result in the loss of the deposit, and the booking will be cancelled.

3) Cancellation Charges

All bookings must be cancelled or changed in writing. Cancellation charges cover costs and losses in the event that we are unable to re-sell the holiday at short notice.

For some properties, the owner may set out a different policy, but where no policy exists, the information in the following table applies.

4) Security Deposit

All properties require a security deposit of 200 euros, payable with the balance of the holiday cost. This is refundable after the villa has been checked against inventory. Please report any damage or breakages to our agent. You will be required to pay for any breakages , repairs or additional cleaning required as necessary.

5) Occupancy

The party size must not exceed the maximum occupancy of the property.

6) Your responsibility as a tennant

Please treat the property with care.You should leave the property in a clean and tidy condition, otherwise additional cleaning costs may be incurred. Any damages must be reported and paid for via the security deposit. We reserve the right to ask you to vacate the property following complaints of unacceptable behaviour which may disturb others living in the community.

Should any items of furniture or soft furnishings become damaged, these are charged at the cost to replace the item, plus the cost of labour involved to replace. So please think before you act! Take care of the property as if it was your own home!!

7) Cleaning and laundry

You are provided with linens and towels for use during your stay. Beach towels are NOT provided and the towels from the property should not be used as beach or poolside towels. Cleaning after you leave is provided in the cost of your holiday, however should you need a mid-week clean , this can be arranged at an extra cost. Any additional services must be booked and paid for when you make your booking, or by the time the final balance is due.

If the property is not left reasonably clean and tidy after you leave, there may be a charge for additional cleaning.Likewise, if throws or bedding have been stained beyond normal use ( i.e. by spilling drinks etc. ) then these will be charged for at a cleaning cost of 10 euros per item.

If you use the BBQ at a property, you must clean this after use. Failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning charge of 25 euros.

 

8) Entry times

The property is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Keys must be returned to the owner or their agent.

 

9) Problems during your stay

Our local agent is available to help ONLY for properties managed by OwnersAway, this will be clearly stated at the time of booking.In this instance, you must contact us as the local agent and we will do our best to resolve any issues.

If you have booked direct with the owner, then we ask you to contact the owner in order to resolve and problems or issues.

Please note that we cannot issue refunds as your contract is with the property owner, who takes the payment, not OwnersAway.

10)  We strongly recommend that you take out your own travel insurance at the time of booking.
