Description: This apartment is a 2 minute walk from the beach in the traditional Spanish fishing village of La Azohía, just 10 minutes drive from the larger town of Puerto de Mazarrón.
The apartment is furnished in Spanish style, with dark wood, and the accommodation is flexible, making the property ideal for both smaller families and larger parties. The apartment is accessed via a private front door, and stairs lead to the lower part of the property, which houses the main accommodation for up to 4 people.
This part of the apartment has a bathroom with shower over bath, 2 double bedrooms and a large open plan living / dining area. There is a dining set to seat 4 people, plus ample furniture for the terrace and outdoor dining. The apartment is comfortably furnished, and there is plenty of seating in front of the new TV, plus there is a music centre for guests to use. There is aircon in the living room, which cools all of the lower part of the house.
The kitchen is just off the main living area, and has everything needed for a self catering break. There is a gas hob, dishwasher and all small electrical appliances. A utility terrace off the kitchen also has a washing machine and sink.
The French windows lead to the large lower terrace which has an awning to provide shade from the heat of the summer sun, with views over to the sea and the village. There is a decorative spiral staircase leading to the upper terrace and the additional accommodation.
The upper level of the apartment has spectacular views over the coastline to the town of Puerto de Mazarrón, and there is also a huge private terrace for sunbathing. This level also has 2 extra bedrooms and a further shower room, meaning that the property can sleep 8 people in total. There is also the option to rent as a 2 bed apartment , using the lower floor only.
There is a garage below the house for off street parking, and the house is just a few minutes walk from the beach, bars and promenade in the village. La Azohía has several tapas bars and restaurants, and 3 restaurants are within a 5 minute walk of the house. There is a general store in the village in high season, plus a pharmacy which is open all year round.
The nearby town of Puerto de Mazarrón and the village of Isla Plana also offer a wider range of amenities, with supermarkets, bowling, karting and yet more choice of bars , shops and restaurants around the pretty new marina. The property makes an ideal base from which to explore the area, and is only a 25 minute drive from the city of Cartagena, with museums, castle, shopping centres and more.
